Marianne
T. Scippa, MS, MHSA, RPP
Since 1975, Marianne has facilitated the personal
and professional development of scores of individuals and numerous organizations.
She brings an innovative combination of psychology, adjunctive health
care and organizational development to the Scippa Group. She specializes
in helping individuals and groups create healthier, more productive work-lifestyles.
For more than 25 years Marianne's professional work has
ranged from back country wilderness to therapeutic communities to corporate
boardrooms. In the early 1990s, she was drawn to Washington, DC on a Federal
grant to address critical addiction issues and to intervene with the spread
of related infectious diseases on a national level. Her strengths in this
arena were in designing and facilitating opportunities for collaboration
and change between large nonprofit and for profit organizational systems.
Since then she has continued to work with both large and small organizations
to integrate change and improve the work environment.
A believer in the value of personal experience for integrated
change, Marianne’s approach is participant focused in an action learning
model.
Indoors or out, her program designs have assisted clients with business
and personal challenges including team building, leadership development,
managing change, strategic planning, program evaluation, problem solving,
conflict management, improving communication, building moral, preventing
burnout, workplace ergonomics and coaching for personal/professional development.
Her clients include top and middle managers in several
ongoing projects designed to develop leadership and coaching skills.
Marianne holds a Masters of Science in Psychology from the
University
of Bridgeport and a Masters of Human Service Administration from the Organization
and Management Department of the Antioch University Graduate School. She
has been active with the American Society for Training and Development
(ASTD) and the Association for Experiential Education (AEE).
She served as President of the AEE Board of Directors for four years,
and in 1999 was presented with the Kurt Hahn Award at their International
conference. She is a Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP), a comprehensive
wellness approach for maintaining individual health, through the American
Polarity Therapy Association.
